Is there any documentation about the use of the “Pattern” field in the Validation Rules of a field?
Pattern supports using regular expressions to write rules.
Can we know more about it? Is there any details?

I’m asking, is there any function to apply a autoformatting to an input field? (e.g. Capitals formatting, or first letter capital, adding spaces in a phone number …) without changing the stored value in a data base.
This feature is planned but not yet available.
