I’ve spent the last week going hard on a project, building on NocoBase with Claude’s assistance. To be honest, I’ve always liked NB—it felt fast and efficient—but I used to think its use cases were somewhat limited.
I was completely wrong. My perception of those “limitations” was simply due to not fully grasping how deep this platform actually goes, and I’m sure many new users might be stuck in that exact same mindset.
First of all, I want to share my deep respect and admiration for the small dev team behind NocoBase. I know firsthand the massive effort it takes to maintain a project like this. We all know documentation is historically the main bottleneck here, and the new beginner tutorials are definitely a great step forward—they are clean, clear, and easy to follow.
However, after a week of intense building, my main takeaway is this: those tutorials don’t even scratch the surface. They don’t show the tip of the iceberg. The actual power of this tool when you start leveraging Event Flows, advanced linkage rules, and custom code injection is just mind-blowing. Claude helped me do some deep research into the core capabilities, and I was honestly shocked by what can be achieved.
I really hope that as a community, we can start collaborating more to create advanced tutorials and break down the complex stuff. NocoBase is a hidden gem. Most users probably have no idea what kind of raw power they hold in their hands. Having worked with practically every low-code/no-code tool on the market, I have zero doubts that NB is unique, and in many scenarios, it’s hands-down the absolute best solution. It just gets overlooked because its true potential isn’t fully documented yet.
Kudos to the creators. I wish you massive success and I can’t wait to see what’s coming next on the roadmap!

We honestly haven’t done enough in this area; we’ve fallen short in presenting these advanced use cases to our users, leaving them to figure it out on their own most of the time. We would absolutely love to have you collaborate with us to create and bring this kind of advanced content to life!
Everything said is true. Nocobase is a great and flexible tool, which is why we love it!
However, while custom code provides endless possibilities, it also changes the paradigm. With the introduction of tools like event flows, JS blocks, and AI-driven code writing, Nocobase is becoming less of a “no-code” tool and more of a “code” tool, raising the bar for users implementing it into their business processes. Maybe the team will need to rename the product into “CoBase” one day.
I also want to emphasize that it would be incredibly helpful if the development team could pay closer attention to the quality of their releases, as I’ve frequently faced new bugs in recent “release” versions. I do have a test environment specifically for pre-production testing, but it’s still quite complicated to test every single thing. I’m not talking about bugs in newly added features, either. Unfortunately, bugs are often introduced into long-standing, time-proven functionality, and these cases definitely need to be minimized, if not completely avoided.
Completely agree! For me, pulling the latest codebase and docs into Cursor as deep context and then using the agent plan mode has accelerated my progress. This keeps my production installation safe as I use the local nocobase on my machine for a true sandbox testing ground.
