let’s say I only want to update the customer name and owner.username only. but when I submit, the api call will include all other field.

this creates 2 problem:
- a user without permission to edit all those other field will get an error (even though he/she can edit the visible field because the api call intend to update all field)
- I may override on someone else’s change simultaneously (I only intended to change one field, but my api call overrided the change on some other field made by someone else while I was filling the form)
