Hello, is there anything provided in the commercial comments plugin that can not be achieved by creating your own comments feature as detailed here: (Wechat)Chapter 4: Task and Comment Plugins - NocoBase

Also, is it possible to have comment threads displayed in threaded/ nested format similar to reddit? Thanks.

In fact, the comment plugin mainly optimizes the interaction method on the front end. You can develop such a plugin yourself.
Nested comments are not currently supported.
