Attachment field type missing in v2

The Attachment field type is missing in Add field menu when creating a collection in /v/ v2. Is this permanent or will it be added in a future release?

In v2, the legacy Attachment field is intentionally hidden from the Add field menu. It is deprecated, although the interface remains available for existing fields. For new collections, create a File collection and add a relation field from your business collection to it. If you only need external file links, use Attachment URL (or a URL field). Thanks for reply! What about existing collections that already have legacy Attachment fileds, do we need to migrate them to the new File collection too?
